The Independent Free Nation of Walton started out as an idea in late 2009 as a way to honour Tyler Walton, a dear friend of our king. Tyler had gone missing on November 9 2009 and had been a huge proponent of the "free man" movement and was the inspiration behind King Justin I to get started on building this Micronation project.

 

Over the years the Independent Free Nation of Walton or Walton for short started to take shape. Different ideas for what kind of Government would be adopted was the first priority, after much research and internal debate it was decided the best choice for the nation would be a Democratic Monarch.

 

Between 2009 and 2015 a lot of time went into developing the founding beliefs of the nation and what it could become. King Justin I envisioned a peaceful carbon negative utopia and new model for the world to follow. At the beginning of 2015 the first three Royal Council members where appointed by the king, with the intent to elect three additional member after a web community is formed.
